Paul Nel, owner and Director of Nerve Solution, started his career in January 1993 till May 2007 in the Correctional Services and was awarded as the overall best student during his training. He continued his studies within the Correctional Services and got promoted to the rank of Correctional grade 1 (Inspector) within 4 years. During his service, he worked within different departments that include the Absconding- and reaction unit, Logistics, HR, Registration, and Correctional Supervision. Some of his functions included but were not limited to: Capturing of absconders or escapees Investigations Reaction to Riots After he resigned in 2007, he continued his career in investigating motor vehicle accidents nationally and submitting claims to the Road accident fund. He underwent a BAA Medical course, registered at the HPCSA (Health Professional Council of SA) to assist with medical assistance during motor vehicle accidents. After the change of the legislation in 2008, he decided to continue his career in the security industry in New Zealand and worked as Manager at First Security Auckland to receive international security standards. In 2009, he returned to South-Africa and start a career in the Risk department at DHL International and gained Operational experience in the Logistics industry and various other sectors that include the position as National DHL HTA (Healthcare, Technology and Automotive) Health and Safety, National DHL Procter and Gamble and National Unilever as Safety and Security Manager and completed the International Nebosh course at NOSA. In 2015 he was offered a position at International Imperial Retail Logistics as Risk Manager and managed principals that included but not limited to GMD, Diageo, GSK, ASPIN, USN, Patleys, Tyger Brands, etc. Some functions included: High profile Investigations Stock Loss management Managing Health- and Safety Disciplinary inquiries (Training received by South-African Labour guide) His studies included security grade A and Private Investigator at Fassan Security Academy with PSIRA number 2392939. He expanded his studies and attend the only South African Polygraph school with material used that is aligned with the relevant Unit Standards as set out in the SAQA Qualification National Certificate Polygraph SAQA QUAL ID 59258. The training is aligned with South-Africa’s national guidelines and international Polygraph Training guidelines of the American Polygraph Association (APA) accreditation.
